Recovery Console

I would liket to install the recovery console onto my
machine. But, the problem is that my computer came loaded
with Windows XP Home and doesnt have a CD. I've read that
the CD is required to install the console. I do have a
restoration CD that came with it, but that basically just
restores everything to the default factory setup. Is there
another product that works like the recovery console, or a
way to get the console installed without a CD. If anyone
knows, please fill me in.

Thanks

I read somewhere that at least the HP computers offer a
means to burn a copy of the hidden XP file to a CD. Check
with your mfg'r support for advice on this possibility.

Click start---help and support and key in 'recovery console' If manufacturer
provided, instructions for installing should be there.
