Recovery console cannot find valid Windows

XP Home Edition is unable to boot. It shows the bootup screen and there is a
BSOD but I am unable to read the message 'cos it disappear too fast. It jumps
back to the screen with options to safe boot, boot normal, last known good
settings.
I am not able to use any of those to boot into Windows!
I tried the Recovery Console method but it did not detect any valid Windows
installation. I could only type "Exit" to quit Recovery Console.
Are there other ways to rescue this Windows and data?
Does it mean the only way is to reinstall Windows without able to save the
data?

Thks u.

Remove the drive & slave it, or connect with external case, to another
system and see if you can access & copy data
If it is visible you will likely have to take ownership of files/folders,
see win help
I guess in future you will set up some form of data backup to external media
