Recovery console admin password dosent work

I was trying to use the recovery console to repair some
lost files and I can not log onto the recovery console
when it asks for password it claims that the password is
not correct. Is there some sort of default windows
password that will help me get into the recovery console.

Hello Joe,

No there isn't a default password for the recovery console. It's usually
the password you used to install the system originally.

If you're certain you put in the right administrator password but
still can't get past the recovery console, you may be one of the few
victims affected by this MS KB article:

Recovery Console in Windows XP
