I assume that Recovery Console (generated by issuing a 'winnt32
/cmdcons' request') uses 32-bit atapi drivers that are installed in
%windir%\system\drivers.
So how come when I boot into that mode, I can't see my SATA hard
drive? I'm basing that comment on the fact that a bootcfg /list or
/scan or /rebuild parameter does not see my winxp installation on my
sata drive. It does see my current boot/system partition, however.
in normal Windows xp usage, my SATA hard drive works just fine, so
it's not an issue with the sata drive not being installed correctly.
