Recovery cd/Repair/Administrator password not accepted

When using recovery cd to do a repair of corrupt system files, I can not get
past the request for the administrator password. I am the only user and my
user account is administrator, and as far as I am aware the only password to
access windows is mine - so why does it reject me all the time ?????.

Dont want to do a complete re-install again, too much configuring and not
enough time, just want to repair.

Hi,

Try running sfc /scannow

Also, a repair installation should not/would not prompt for the
administrator password. Precisely what are you doing?
