recovering files

I prepared a CD with my files (Roxio CD Creator 6) prior to doing a clean
install with a 12X Memorex RW cd. I checked the cd to make sure the files
were there, but never attempted to open them prior to the reinstall of
Windows XP. The reinstall has gone fine, but I am unable to open the files
to store them on my hard drive again. When I try to access the files on the
cd the system locks up. I've gone through another reinstall, but still
cannot access the files.

The file system is CDFS, and I have NTFS as the file system for XP. I NEED
to recover these files. Please help!!!

I was able to recover almost all of my files using their free version.
Haven't figured out which ones I didn't yet. Many thanks.

Greetings,

Actually, you can try restoring files from HDD. If they are erased
there is still a possibility to bring them back. I suppose you using
Active@ Undelete or Uneraser data recovery tools for this purpose. This
are truly mighty utils, their restore algorithm is really powerful. I
bet it will be able to help you anyway, as it did for me times before.
