Recording Streaming Audio

I am experiencing difficulty inrecording streaming audio using the Yogen Audio Recorder. Unil recently, everything was working fine but now the recording levels do not change when recording. When i try to play the file back, all i get is silence.Previously recorded files seem to play O.K. so I can only assume my problem lies with my 511 5.1 Trust Digital sound card. I have downloaded the ltest driver for this from Trust but it crashes my computer, so in desperaton I re-installed using my original driver and no crashes. However when I click on to use the software accompanying the card I am told that some of the software did not install, notably the Mixer programme. Any ideas?
P.S. I am using Windows XP with the SP2 pack.
