recording from microcassette

Can some one please help me figure out how to do this.
I've bough a audio cable that goes from microcassette to PC.
1st question? Do I need another adapter at the line in?
Second: If I'm recording on MusicMatch...it's an audio cassette...why can I
not hear my recording after recording it?
I've been working on this for hours and don't know what is wrong with my set
up.
Thanks.
