Recording From An External Tape Source

Is there any way to record old cassette tapes using
Media Player 9? My desktop has composite R & L Audio In
jacks.

No, not using WMP 9 direct. Many third party apps will do it.

There is an app called Analog Recorder in Microsoft Plus! Digital Media Edition.
