recording cassettes to computer

Is there any way to copy a cassette to the computer, so
that I can in turn copy to CD? I can play the music thru
the computer by using a cable from the cassette player to
audio input, but can't find a way to copy. The sound
recorder will only hold 60 sec.

Use Audacity to do the recording instead. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
You can also use RealOne Player.
