record streaming video

how can i record streaming video from the net and save it as say an mpeg or
something? with the audio too? the video streams don't do save as or
anything. I would like info based on windows media player, real and
quicktime. if anyone has any such info how to record those streaming video
formats/save them.

Total Recorder 4.2 is the program you need for recording streaming audio. I
am not aware of a program which does the same for video.
