Can't deploy reports

I've created a report in BIDS using 2008. I tried to deploy to localhost to test it. I'm using http://localhost/reportserver

When it asks for the login info and I enter it all it does is repop the login window. No error message nothing. I have administrator rights on my computer. Since it's not giving a "cannot connect" error I know I have the url right.

I have no ideas except that maybe I need to be logged in as "administrator" but that seems ridiculous (and can't test it because I don't have that login).

Any help or ideas would be great.

Edit: I have all rights on my local server too

sounds like you need an account with admin rights. Computer Management, users/groups, users, create user and add to administrators group. Local admin on the machine. For Domain, create a test user and give the user domain admin rights. That should allow you to process what you need.
