Record Selector Problem

Denis

When I initially open a form, the Record Selector does not
work i.e. I am unable to navigate through the records.
They push in and out, however do not move from the current
record. This behavior also applies to the 'New Record'
button on the Record Selector.
However, after I click in any field within the form, I can
go back to the Record Selector and then it works as
advertised.

Any ideas?
Thank you
Denis

Does the form have a subform? If so, are you clicking on the record selector
for the wrong form?

The form does have a number of subforms and I am clicking
on the record selector of the main form.
This database has been in use for the past 4 years, and
this problem has only emerged in the past couple days or
so, and no changes were made to the form or any of the
subforms!
While I do have an annoying workaround (click in a field
first), I guess I am curious at what can cause this
behavior and whether others have seen something like it.

Thanks for your reply.

No, I haven't seen it before. I have seen folks grab the wrong record
selector when there were subforms, but once they realize that it usually
doesn't happen again. Unless you have some code moving the focus, the only
thing I can think of would be some sort of corruption. You can find
information on handling that at this link.

I will look at the corruption angle as I don't have code
moving the focus.

Thank you for your time and help.
