Reconfiguration Faild

N

NQ Suzumeh

I changed my ISP from Verizon to Comcast. I followed the tutorial, on this
site, to reconfigure Outlook in WindowsXP to Comcast, but it doesn't work.
When opeing Outlook, I get the error message "...'mail.comcast.net' is an
invalid command." followed by the "Server error: 0x800CCC90" and "Error
Number: 0x800CCC18". What has gone wrong? Should I enter something else
aside from 'mail.comcast.net'?

Which tutorial are you referring to? What is the URL?
What is the exact error in full?
Which version of Outlook are you using?

Instruction from Comcast;

A common cause of send/receive issues is having a virus scanner installed
which integrates itself with Outlook. Disable/uninstall this integration and
try again.

Did you set the port to 587 which Comcast uses instead of port 25 as it was on
Verizon
