recipient list (new mail) and contact list

The recipient list(click on "to"in the new email) when creating new mail, and
the contact list are different.I cannot edit the recipient list, but I can the
contact list.Why?
I go into properties in the recipient list and remove all detail and am then
left with ünknown".I have lots of unknowns now.If I want to delete contacts
in my contacts list it is straight forward and nothing is left.Very annoying.
Help please.
Also I have set the format for sending emails in options, yet it keeps
reverting to tahoma 10 blue, when I have it set to segoe script 12 purple. When
replying to emails it does it in the segoe script, but only then.MAddening.

Are you sure you aren't confusing the contacts list with something else?
To edit it, start Windows Mail, then click on Tools, then Windows Contacts,
then the contact you want to edit, then Edit, then you should be able to
edit
the contact. To use the contacts list, start Windows Mail, then start a new
message without typing any part of the address, click on To: in the new
message window, then a contact you want to send the message to, then
either To:, Cc:, or Bcc: depending on which header line you want to put
the address on. If you also want to send it to any more contacts, then
click
on them and then which header line you want to put their address on. Make
sure there is at least one address on the To: line, or some email servers
will
refuse to handle the message. After the last contact is selected, click on
OK.
