Recieved forms are blank?????

I have recently designed a form with several simple drop down boxes to speed
up the sending process of a certain e-mail. When sent (from outlook 2000),
the e-mail is in rich text format, with its defn. attached. Why do the
recipients get what appears to be a blank e-mail with only the subject
working? They do not have the form published on their systems but should the
Defn. not deal with that?

Many thanks,
Dave

Did you design the read layout for the form as well as the compose layout?
Did you check the recipient addresses' properties to see if they're enabled
for rich-text?

Double-click the underlined address either in the contact record or, for
one-time addressees, in the message itself. You should see a check box for
rich-text compatibility

Thanks for the 'rapid response', i have created a working read layout, and
everyone i have sent it to on my network, running the same software as i,
can
recieve and read it perfectly. I cannot however check the recipient
addresses' properties as i dont know how. If i click on properties in the
address book, it can only display properties of address in the book, and
in
addition, i cant see any rich text options or details under any of the
tabs
there.

I know of no way to force recipients to RTF-compatibility. It would be a bad
idea, anyway, since it would likely result in non-Outlook recipients not
being able to read file attachments.

Sue, you are a genius. The reason i said that the box did not exist was
that
the addresses i tried were all internal and had vast swathes of other data
under the properties thing, however for all external addresses, double
clicking works, and the form is recieved correctly.
Do you know any way of getting outlook to select that box by default?
