I recently removed an Exchange Server e-mail account from Outlook. Now the
Outlook icon in the taskbar says "Microsoft Office Outlook is offline". It's
more irritating that anything, and it doesn't show me when I have new mail
through my POP accounts.

How can I change Microsoft Outlook as being "online"?

look on the file menu - is it online? is the pop account set for offline in
tools, send and receive groups, S/R settings?

Where was your mail being delivered? To a PST file, or to your Exchange
mailbox?
