recent upgrade to 2000 AD resulting in slow client connections

We recently upgraded our domain to 2000 from NT 4. The one thing that
we noticed was that all of our clients (Windows 2000 and Windows XP)
seemed to be slower when logging on as well as accessing network
resources. We removed a couple machines and re-joined them to the
domain and they seemed to be working fine. Do i have to do this to
every pc on our network?? We are only running a single domain.

Usually slow response time is associated with dns problems. Are your
clients all pointing to the same dns server and one that is readily
available? Removing and adding should have no bearing on response time.
