Receiving/Sending e-mails from same e-mail account on 2 computers

What is the expected results when you have 2 laptops set up with the same
e-mail account using Outlook 2007. Currently the original computer sends and
receives e-mail just fine. The new laptop with the identical e-mail account
receives no e-mail, though sends out just fine. Thank You

The problem is most likely with the mail settings. You might have different
settings set up on each.

Are you setting up your email with pop mail or imap?
Are your computers working on the same network or different (example, one at
home and one at work)?

This information will be necessary to troubleshoot.

Currently both of these laptops are on the same home network. The e-mail
system uses pop mail. (through Time Warner) When setting up Outlook 2007 on
the 2nd laptop, I used the auto set up feature on Outlook, where you only
input your e-mail address and the password set up throgh Time Warner. When
I select the "test" e-mail function in Outlook it test just fine. A test
e-mail is sent and received only by the 1st laptop. Laptop #1, the original
laptop running my e-mail acct, uses Windows Live Mail.

You have to alter the settings on your accounts to leave a copy on the
server, and delete after xx days.
As it is the first instance of Outlook that is opened will download all
mail.
Mail sent from one PC will not be visible on the other PC, if you actually
need to keep the data files in sync you would need to resort to third party
tools that can be found here www.slipstick.com
