I am getting the same problem. I have beta 1 installed on approx. 800
computers. I hoping that something gets resolved soon. I would like to keep
using Microsoft's AntiSpyware, but I don't want to install it on all 800
computers if it won't update itself.

Uh.....you installed a beta on "800 computers"? Perhaps you should rethink
your strategy? :)

I have beta 1 installed on these computers. The first beta of this software
works GREAT. What happened to beta 2?

I don't have "800 computers* to service but I do have a good number, and I
wouldn't dream of installing a new beta on them without extensive testing on
some test systems first. You're just making a lot of unnecessary work and
headaches for yourself.

I don't think you are understanding what I mean. Has Linux done something to
your mind? I have Microsoft AntiSpyware beta 1 installed on all these
computers without any problems. The software works great without a hitch. I
have installed Microsoft AntiSpyware (Windows Defender) beta 2 on ( 3 )
machines to test it out. Since the beta 1 software won't upgrade to the
newest version (Windows Defender) automatically, this is a good thing. Just
as long as Microsoft keep the .dat files coming for beta 1 and start them for
beta 2.
