my windows mail isnt receiving all the emails that it says it has to receive.
it gets to about half way through the total amount of messages when my server
suddenly stops responding and eventually stops trying to recieve. it the
shows a message that says,Your server has unexpectedly terminated the
connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network
problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account:
'pop-server.bigpond.net.au', Server: 'pop-server.bigpond.net.au', Protocol:
POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F. i then start to
receive my messages again but all it does is receive the same messages and
stops at the same place again.

That symptom typically indicates a 'stuck' email on the server.
Log in via webmail (using your browser), sort the messages there by date,
delete all the older ones you already have downloaded, plus one more.
Try Windows Mail again.
