using Outlook 2003. Quite often, I receive emails with banks messages. I
receive who sent it, subject, time and date but the body of the message is
blank.

And should these be valid mail or is it just SPAM? Looked at the source of
the message already to see if it contains any text?

When I double click on the mail, I get a blank body. When I view the sorce, I
get the following:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML><HEAD>
<META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=utf-8"></HEAD>
<BODY></BODY></HTML>

These emails are from friends and foes. It started just today. I probably
get a message on every third email.

This is the source code on the notification email that I received regarding
your posting a reply. The emails that I am getting blank messages on are from
friends and spammers.

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML><HEAD>
<META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=utf-8"></HEAD>
<BODY></BODY></HTML>

Any thoughts ?

Looks pretty empty indeed. Does the message show when you look at it through
your webbased mail account?

Thank you but why did it happen and will I miss an imporatnt email from a
client next time ? I have been using Outlook for many years and am looking
forward to the day when I can say I like it. If I ever find a contact program
with email that will do what Outlook does, I will cease to use it that same
day.

Are you using an add-in that checks incoming e-mail before Outlook gets it
like a virusscanner or an anti-spam filter? These add-ins could have caused
the issue as well.

Sorry to hear you don't like Outlook. Could you be a bit more specific on
what you dislike about it? Outlook 12 hasn't been released yet so it's not
too late to make suggestions ;-)

I have Norton running to check emails and I am running the Microsft GIANT
AntiSpyware. I used to run Mailwasher up until a few days ago.

I do not like not have the ability to customize the default contact form.
I do not like not being able to password protect individual contacts.
I do not like not being able to prioritize by categories.
I would like to be able to sort by "sub-categories". I list in my contacts,
my suppliers, friends and everyone else in the world because if I do not put
them all in my contacts folder, I am unable to export them to my pda...or any
other contact program. I would like to be able to pull up customers that have
purchased a particular product or are from a particular state. I do not like
the addresses in the contact form not separating the street, city, state, etc.
I especially do not like it when the pst file gets so large it freezes up my
laptop. This has happened twice to me causing a lot of grief.

I will stop here. I like Outlook. I have other PIM's on my laptop such as
IBM's Lotus Organizer. I REALLY like Organizer. It is 1000% more user
friendly from an aesthethic perspective but the email handling is of course
zippo.

I have tried many others. I would like to use Outllok for everything and to
be happy with it but I get frustrated from time to time, drift away but
always come back.

Just venting. Thanks.
