receiving attachments in Windows mail

Hi There -

I have been forwarding emails with attachments from my old computer to this
new one (old uses Outlook, new one Windows mail) and for some reason Windows
mail receives some attachments, but not others. Attachments are Word or
Excel documents. Is there something about these attachments that I should
change, or that Windows Mail can't read? I have tried to simply cut and
paste the information into a new document, but that document couldn't be
received either.
