Receipient's Display Name

Using Outlook 2003. In my contacts I have a Dr. Tom Jones. That name is
typed into full name, file as, and display name. When I send it out I see
Dr. Tom Jones. When he receives he, only Tom Jones is displayed on the
e-mail to line. Any suggestions as to how to get it to display as Dr. on his
end?

"File As" and "Display Name" are derived fields. Outlook fills them out
automatically. What are you doing? Erasing Outlook's entries and entering
other ones?
The Display Name is of no consequence. Most of us use the message to
customize how we want to address recipients. Normally Outlook will abide by
a customization you make to the Email Display As field unless you have an
autocompletion entry that overrides that setting. See if you do.

The only thing I erase is the e-mail address from the Display As field.
There are 26 other Doctors in the distribution list that were all set up the
same way. Only two are experiencing this problem.

#1 - You mention using Outlook '2003 - is that to mean "everyone" is using
Outlook '2003 with the same Service Packs?

#2 - Regardless of above - since the question being asked relates to the
"recipient's" machine and not the "sender's" and you have 24 out of 26 users
working properly, sounds like the logical step would be to compare all the
settings between a working and non-working system and see what the
differences are (and then check the 2nd non-working system to see the
commonality between the 2 non-working systems as it relates to this issue).
Somewhere in there lies the answer to the problem.

If they use Exchange server, the display name is picked up from the Active
Directory.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am having the receipients look into things on
their end.
