rebooted and fonts appear as wingding

When I restarted WinXP Pro, with SP2 and latest patches, the vast majority of
fonts appear to be wingding fonts. I'm refering to the fonts for the makes
under icons, start menu, etc. If I go to a web site everything appears
correct. I opened an windows help file the content and search is unreadable
but the right side is normal.

Opening an CMD windows is also normal.

I'm going to try to run a online base antivirus scan and see if that helps.
I'm currently running Norton AV corp and it didn't flag anything.

Any Ideas?

If the answer is C:, then the path is C:\windows\fonts

I ended up using Winternals Admin Pack (Can't remember the tool) to roll back
to a prior system restore point. System now boots up and everything is back
in English. Some of the apps' fonts have changed but I can live with most of
it.

Thanks for your help.
