Reboot from bugcheck

Joe

Intel 2.4GHz, ABIT BE7-RAID, 1GB memory, ATI AIW128Pro-AGP.

When doing a dl of NG headers I get a reboot from bugcheck:
0x000000d1 (0x005c003a, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xbff83435)

When defragging, the bugcheck is:
0x000000d1 (0x00000004, 0x00000006, 0x00000000, 0xbff87361)

During scan disk of c:, from the console after reboot:
Stop:0x00000044 (0x84b3fe48, 0x00000cca,0x00000000,
0x00000000)

ALL are repeatable, and ALL occur after a fresh re-install
of Win2kPro w/Service Pack 3. The ONLY things installed,
other than the OS are the Drivers supplied with the
Motherboard and the Driver for the video card.

Any ideas would be appeciated, especially if you respond
via email.

Thank you!

Never mind, I replaced the hard drive (C:) and all appears
well. What was really weird is that running
Scandisk/Defrag/etc. on OTHER drives worked fine, so the
bad spot must not have had code on it, only data. Seems
that Windows chokes on a bad spot on the boot drive no
matter whether it has code there or just data....

Joe.
