Hey David, I've heard good things about apacer. Could you bring up
regedit
and find 'ReadSpeedKBs' and 'WriteSpeedKBs' for your apacer and post the
numbers here?

These are the numbers that ReadyBoost uses and should be good to use as a
comparison metric (at least as far as ReadyBoost is concerned). Every USB
drive you have will have these values and unless they have actually gone
through 'the test' the numbers will be 0. It sounds like your apacer will
probably have the highest numbers so it shouldn't be too difficult to
isolate.

TIA -- joke

I've been using the same flash drive on my system. from the reg:
Read Speed 8124
Write speed 12483

Hi there,

My ThinkPad X60s has 2Gb RAM. Installing UltraSD 2Gb has increased the
system WEI from 3.0 to 3.1

Though ready boost may not be noticeable, i personally have a 2GB pny optima
attache usb drive enhanced for ready boost. The boost from readyboost is
noticeable only doing intensive tasks such as gaming. I loaded my games
pretty quick with it also i recommend the RAM to flash drive ratio to be 1:1
to 1:2.5 as you will see that this is peak performance if set that way. 1024
RAM=1024 FLASH in example.

Hello skyzyk:
I was wondering if you could tell me the brand name of the 2 Gb SD card
you're using with Ready Boost. I have been using a 256 mb flash drive on my
laptop and it works well but I hate that the flash drive is sticking out the
side of my machine.

Thanks.
