ReadyBoost Support List

I currently have a Sandisk Cruzer Mini 512MB USB 2.0 flash drive. I am
aware that it is not compatible with ReadyBoost. Is there a list out there
that shows the list of devices that ReadyBoost supports, as I'm looking for
possibly getting a new flash drive for Christmas, since my 512MB Cruzer Mini
gets a little short on breathing space anymore. I have 1.5GB of RAM, which
probably would cause ReadyBoost not to help too much, but it would still be
nice to have a flash drive that supports it anyway in case I ever used the
device on a computer that doesn't have much RAM. Thanks.

Use an Ipod if youve got one. They suck anyway, unless you hack them they
wont work with Mediaplayer, (Ie..Python works wonders if you want to hack an
Ipod)Just buy a used beatup Shuffle and convert to NTFS and your set.

Both my SanDisk Cruzer 1.0 GB Mini, and Micro are both supported. Any modern
flash drive should work, and if it does'nt, I would take it back and get my
money back.

Yeah, I've got a SanDisk Cruzer 1.0 GB Mini, too. I bought it after it
passed the Vista RC1 readyboost test with a Vista installed laptop i took
with.

One point to keep in mind is that a device may not work when inserted into a
USB port that is not directly connected to the motherboard and work when
connected directly to the mobo.
On my machine, when inserted in a USB port on a PCI card or the case USB
which is connected to the mobo the drive fails. Connect to the mobo and it
works.

It works on mine. Mine works fine on my case USB ports that's wired to the
motherboard.

My Cruzer Mini says under ReadyBoost when you go to properties: "This
device does not have the required performance characteristics for use in
speeding up your system."

Would the reason why my Cruzer Mini isn't compatible be because it only has
133MB of free space?

I had to click recheck 3 or 4 maybe 5 times before my sandisk cruzer 1
gb was able to use the ready boast feature and i do see a slight boost.
my system has 1 gig of ram
same with rc1 5600 and rc1 1/2 5728 and rc1 3/4 5744(5744 never powered
off so was removed)
