Ready to Upgrade to XP Pro from 2000

Hi,
I am finall ready to do an inplace upgrade of my win 2000 to XP pro. I ran
the upgrade advisor and it reported no problems. But as a safe guard I would
like to back up my c drive just in case. Here is my question, if I take a
copy of my c partition will that be good enough in case of a failure during
the upgrade? Would it be simple enough as copying that partition back to
restore my 2000 system completely?
Thanks for any advice anyone can offer.

Hi,

Copy or Image? A copy will save relevant data files, but doesn't create
something you can later restore, while an image is a precise copy that can
be restored to put things back as they were. The latter generally is done
with software designed for this.
