READ THIS BEFORE POSTING

It's really getting hard to respond to replies in this newsgroup and I'm not
quite sure why I check it anymore. Please read the following checks before
posting to ensure your item belongs in this group.

1. Is your topic related to windows update, and not windows in general?
2. Did you leave enough information, i.e. OS, problem, program causing
problem, etc.
3. Did you not use all caps (not screaming)
4. Were you polite? The people answering these questions don't have to help
you at all. We are not certified experts from microsoft (except in some rare
instances). Some of us even pay to be able to use these newsgroups. Try to
be curteous to those answering your questions.

Failure to follow these guidelines will probably result in your post being
ignored, or the common unhelpful time-delaying reply "Wrong newsgroup, try
microsoft.public.<your os>"

My suggestion is to ingore this ignoramous and to post
freely and without restraint. No one died and left this
putz in charge of the NG. Frequently if you are not posted
in the correct place people will be polite enough to let
you know where you should post. MiniDisc you are just
short of a fool and are really beginning to tick me off.
Please refrain from being the NG Police. We can take care
of ourselves and never voted you to do anything. Kindly
shut up or help. Those are your only choices. Good luck.

Chill out this is a newsgroup composed of humans and all levels of
experience. If it bothers you go away.

I don't even know why he bothered posting that. The newbies to the
groups don't bother to read thru the previous posting to see if
problem has already been address, Even when they are sure it
has..ex.."I know this has been asked before...". So, Why does MiniDisc
think they will read his post before posting themselves???

I tell ya, folks, this and several other groups are a joy compared to
alt.so...xp. There is language in/on there that will make a monitor blush.
My 'rules of thumb are:
-Nothing is too dumb. Computers are more complicated than, say, a stereo
set.
-I don't know the answers to everything so if I don't , no post.
-If it's been answered and it was my answer, I don't post unless there is
something to add.
-If there is an error that I know to be such, I try to provide correct
information without tearing down the individual.

Happy computing,

Malv

You have the right idea. Although installing a stereo system I think is
more complicated especially if using a receiver.
