Read Outlook Shared Contact field in Excel

Hi,

I wish to retrieve an Outlook Contact field from within Excel. The Contacts
Folder is in a shared Outlook data file. Is this possible? I have written
code in Excel VBA but I have never tried inter-app data exchange. If this is
not the right Discussion group pls let me know.
