Read-Only Green Checkbox

In Windows Explorer, there appears to be a 3-way checkbox
associated with the Read-Only attribute; empty, green
checkmark, and filled with green square.

Please explain the filled green square.

Means that subfolders may have different settings.
You really don't need to worry about folders being marked "read only" - that
doesn't really matter. The real issue is with share/NTFS permissions.
