read only files

Can someone go step by step on how to get the files from read only to
where I can save things to a disk? I am trying to go through and what
I see isn't what I think I am suppose to. I lost too much stuff
because of this...will this work also if I tried to find folders I
deleted if I mark the box to see hidden folders? I tried to download a
program to retreive files I deleted from the recycle bin and I don't
see them so I am guessing they are still here but where?
Thanks
R.

Your post is a bit unclear but for you question about whether the option to
show hidden files/folders will help you recover files/folders deleted and
then the recycle bin emptied, no it won't. Only data recovery software or a
data recovery service can help you there. Also if your goal is to recover
deleted files, stop using the computer now. The more you use it the greater
the chance the deleted files are overwritten.

FYI files that you choose to delete actually NEVER get put in any kind
of a bin. They dont even get moved from their original location.
