Read Only and all macros are empty

Greetings! I have a rather strange issue with a ACC2K DB. The DB resides on
a server. I have several automated process that use this database and are
initiated by either "WinCron" or by using a rule in Outlook that reponds to
email. Here is the issue. If the DB is opened by the Access client that
resides on the same server, it opens as "Read Only" with all of the macros
empty. The macro names are still present, but upon opening in design mode,
they are empty. The same DB, if opened on another machine works just fine. I
have several other ACC2K DB's that reside on the same server and open just
fine, regardless if opened locally or on a remote desktop. It appears that
the local client just doesn't like this specific DB, as all others are
unaffected.

(guessing)

1. Is the file an MDB file or an MDE file?

2. Is it marked as "Read-only" in Windows Explorer?

3. Have all the Service Releases / Service Packs been applied to the Access
installation on the server? Original release of A2K was buggy and SRs / SPs
are needed to make A2K works reliably.

4. There may be minor corruptions in the database. Try Compact and Repair.

1. It is an MDB file
2. It is NOT flagged as R/O
3. All applicable SP's and updates are in place.
4. DB is set to compact on close.

* Have you checked your permission on the Folder/Dir in which the database
resides? You need Create / Read / Write / Delete permission on the Folder.

* I am not sure whether Compact-On-Close actually repairs the database. Try
Compact and Repair from the MenuBar.
