If my internal modem becomes faulty, will the system ask to reactivate the
OS(WinXP)? I have this situation where my modem have problem but I still can
boot but was unable to dial out to connect to my ISP. But now when I boot it
ask me to activate XP again. I have activate for more that 1 year already.

Windows may request a new Activation if the hardware configuration
changes.
