Fixed dollar sign - displays in the same position in cell
$ 123.5
$ 2.5
Format _($ * #,##0.0_);_($ * (#,##0.0);_($ * –??_);_(@_)

Floating dollar sign - displays immediately to left of the first significant
digit
$123.5
2.5
