Do you mean Outlook Express or Outlook 2003? I guess the latter. You
obviously have Word set as the editor for Outlook. There is little reason to
do that.
You have a couple of other problems:
1. Uncheck the Office Plug-in option of Norton AV (if that is your AV app)
2. Checkout http://www.gmayor.com/what_to_do_when_word_crashes.htm as you
appear to have an orphan file or two!
