re-starting Windows Defender

I had to turn off Windows Defender at one point. Now, every time I re-boot
the computer, an error message comes on telling me it won't start up.
Clicking on the program brings no results. Windows Defender will not come on.

An error message concerning being unable to start, per chance? I suspect
you now have the expired beta version of Defender installed.

Try uninstalling the current version, and download/installing the
latest.
