re-installing for beginners

Can anyone tell me of a link to step by step instructions
on wiping and reloading windows XP home. I'm having huge
problems with my broadband connection to AOL and they've
finally told me it must be a problem on my OS and that I
need to re-install windows. I would really appreciate
a "dummy's guide " kind of article if there's anything out
there.

Hi Jacki

Try the following articles - a 'Repair' install may help before a 'Clean'
install is performed. Although with both methods you will need to
re-download/re-install the Windows Updates:
