Re-install

Anybody knows how to get this system to install???
Was running xp pro before, turned it off and it would not restart, tried
everything, even re-installing xp pro, with no luck. reformatted the drive
and tried a new installation, and I get this message that says ntldr is
missing, set up can not continue, and other times I get setup txt.sif is
invalid setup can not continue, and I even got one of the error codes like,
0x00000007E and 0x0c0000005 and I have looked through the knowledge base all
over and did not find any concrete solution, and the last article referred me
to find bcupdate2 from microsoft???
Can anyone help????
