Re-install XP

I had my computer built by a local computer tech. He installed windows XP
Home ED. and gave me the XP disc of which I paid him $120.00 It has been
about a yea and I am having problems and was told that I should re-install
XP. I called the Tech but he is no longer living here and I have the dics but
no installation codes to re-install it. It is a legal copy of XP as I checked
with Microsoft. Is there any way that I can get the install codes from my
computer or from Microsoft. The tech that built my computer only gave me the
disc and I didn't know that I should of recieved the install code.

If the system is running, then the key can be retrieved with any one of
several free programs.
