Re-install with updates

Should I need to do a complete re-install (Xp Pro), are windows updates
stored on the hard drive somewhere? It would be nice to slipstream all
updates onto a Xp install cd rather than have to go to windowsupdate and
download the lot again.

Thanks Gene.

I was hoping they would be hiding away somewhere like "Temporary
Internet Files" or some-such.

Ah well, I'll just have to wait a few days until my ISP billing cycle to
d/l them. I'm already over my datacap :-(

But I've always wanted to know how to draw my own motion paths in
powerpoint, haven't you?

Surely you have a friend/relative who has a broadband non-capped account
who can download these updates and burn them to a CD/DVD or usb drive.

Lol. We're talking New Zealand here. no datacap accounts cost a small
fortune. The govt has only just passed legislation to force Telecom to
unbundle the local loop. That, along with other measures, is slowly
bringing broadband prices down, but it will still be a while before we
come into line with the US.

My billing cycle starts on the 6th anyway, and it's not urgent, just
something worth doing.
