Re-install IE 6

Before I install SP 2 I want to do some cleaning up which
includes re-installing IE 6 which I suspect has a few
problems which are annoying me. When I go to the IE
download site it tells me I have a later version of IE. I
agree since I've been keeping up with all updates. How do
I uninstall IE 6, with all updates, then re-install it
without getting into trouble? After I re-install I plan
on bringing it up to date with updates, then, installing
SP 2. But, I don't want to leave myself in a situation
with no browser and wondering how to get going again. Phil

Hi Will..thanks for reply. Problems with IE 6: Whenever
I close a window or email using the "X" in title bar, the
window under it closes too. Whenever I delete an email
quite often Outlook Express closes too. Whenever I click
on a link quite often the link in the window under it
comes up. Kelly called this perhaps being "out of focus",
gave me somethings to do and it appeared to work but
really didn't. One other guy in newsgroups recommended re-
installing IE 6. Looks like a browser problem? Phil

Will, addtional info: Just now as I clicked "ok" to send
last comment to you my computer closed newsgroups and went
to Microsoft home page. Phil
