Re alternative to Probe 2

Hello to All (again)
I have found that system monitoring prog. I was looking for to take the
place of Probe.
It is called Everest - only problem is that it is no longer available from
the developers site.
It can be downloaded at three main sites but know nothing about them.
I am always worried about downloading anything from a non manufacturers
site.
So I am hoping some of you in the group can say if any of the below are
reliable

I have heard/seen mentioned majorgeeks and I think softpedia.

Softpedia and MajorGeeks are reliable sites. I have never gotten a bad file
from either of them.
