for secondary ide channel. I copied them to floppy but it says no drivers
found. I'm running a P3 1GHZ flip-chip on a D815EEA2(universal) Intel mobo
512ram WD30GB(C:)/Compac DVD(D:) on primary IDE channel,
WD60GB(E:,F:,G:)/WD100GB(H:,I:) on secondary channel and XP Pro SP2. The
upgrade option isn't available because not enough room on C: drive. Clean
install shows all drives but when I select E:(18GB partition-empty) it asks
for secondary IDE channel drivers but doesn't find them on the floppy.
Any ideas what the &#@%&*^$% to do??

This may not help but.....
I tried to install Vista on my PC but part way throught the install (10%ish)
a dialog box came up asking me to install the drivers for the DVD player. I
searched for and found some cdrom.* drivers and made a floppy of all the cd
drivers I could find but no luck. It turned out that the DVD player had died
during the install of Vista. replaced the DVD player and everything
installed with no problems.
By the way the DVD player that died is the 3rd one since I started playing
with Vista.
