Hi I'm trying to connect an NT4 Laptop Sp6 to a W2K sp4 Exchange Server via a W2K RRAS Server,
But when dial I get a 649-error saying that I have a valid user name and password but the account does not have permission to dial in.
The account has dial in permissions set on the NT4 Laptop and when I dial in with a W2K Laptop using the same account, I connect every time and can send and receive mail.
It looks like the problem is with the NT4 Laptop but I have tried all the settings.
Can any one help me please?

The dial-in permissions has to be set on user at Win2k RRAS Server and not
on your NT4 Laptop.

If it is local user then go to Win2k RAS Server, then open lusrmgr.msc and
goto properties page for the user concerned, go to dial-in properties and
then allow "Remote Access Permission" for that user.
If the user is in domain then you need to do the same on domain account of
the user.
