any fix for Ranky.W [nt4]
NOD32 detects but cannot fix
do NOT quarantine...
affected files
fqebfsa.exe 99667
gwcbvwat.exde 29296
qvdsafs.exe
dbfavcws.exe
Are these 1) valid NT files altered by a trojan
2) new trojan files?

no NMTP server was in registry RUN
but our ISP complainer we were generating spam
qvdsafs.exe IS in RUN, I changed it to qvdsafs.exf
but I still cant run Windows explorer
Internat explorer seems to run
regedit runs, after lonnnnng delay


apologies for possible multiple post but
I have to use Google groups, which has a long delay
my ISP seems to think that "nobody" wants newsgroups.

You might want to run a "free" online virus scan,

Another free online virus scanner I use is
"BitDefender"
http://www.bitdefender.com/scan/license.php
