random cells with same formula will not display results

I have a worksheet that has the same formula in several cells which adds
cells and that result is used in other cells. I get the right answer but the
cells do not always display the answer. It is a random problem. I have turned
protection off and on.
Should I reinstll excell?

you say the "don't display the answer" what do they display.

Have you tried pressing PgDn then PgUp to see if it is a screen refresh
problem?

When you say the get the right answer but they don't display the answer, I
am confused, please clarify.

I enter values by reference from another cell. Then I compare that value to
another cell value on in the third cell i get an answer. That answer is then
added to another cell in a leter formula and the results of that addition is
displayed in the 9th cell. So cell one has the standard, cell two is
deliveverd from afar and cell three computes the difference from cell 1 and
cell two + or - value. Cell 4 is a std, cell five is from afar and cell 6 is
the comparison as in cell 3. The cell 7 is the total of cell 1 and 4 cell 8
is the total of cell 2 and 5 and cell 9 is the computed difference.
Cell 3 and cell 6 do not always show the results but cell 9 always has the
right answer. The problem is I sort on cell 3 and cell 6 and when they are
blank (as in the reults do not show) my sort is not in the correct order.
