RAID question P4P800 Deluxe.

I have 2 40 gig drives set up as RAID 0 and they show up as approximate
80 gig in the VIA RAID Tools software.

However under Windows Explorer and a command prompt they show up as 1 40
gig drive.

Is this normal?

I thought I would see one 80 gig drive?

P.S. They were originally 2 40 gig drives on the RAID controller (C+E)
NOT using RAID and I did a drive image with Drive Image Pro.
Then I created the RAID set and restored from that image.

Could that be the problem?

Did you resize the partition to take up all 80GB's?

The first time I restored from Drive Image I DIDN'T say "fill to size of
drive (or whatever it's called).
If I looked in Manage ->Disk Management, I would see as C drive 2
drives, one filled with data at 40gb and another 40 gb of free space.
My Computer showed 40Gb.

I wiped the array and did the restore again, but this time said fill to
size of drive and now I get 1 Drive in Disk management and it is listed
as 128gb! (40+40=80, I thought).

However under My Computer I still see 40gb.

Here is what chkdsk c: shows:

C:\>chkdsk c:
The type of the file system is FAT32.
Volume C_DRIVE created 11/24/2003 2:09 PM
Volume Serial Number is EF04-A3C5
Windows is verifying files and folders...

39,068,512 KB total disk space.
2,714,816 KB in 697 hidden files.
65,088 KB in 2,001 folders.
7,888,192 KB in 26,110 files.
28,400,384 KB are available.

32,768 bytes in each allocation unit.
1,220,891 total allocation units on disk.
887,512 allocation units available on disk.

Why all of these different numbers depending upon where I look?
