Raid drive not working

I went out of town for a few days, I returned and my raid drive isn't
working. Worked just fine before I left. I asked a friend if there was a
storm while I was away, but he said no. It won't detect it at start up, and
when I enter the utility to check it out it acts like it just doesn't see
it. I've tried unhooking the connections and reconnecting them with no
effect. Any ideas?

Asus motherboards have a feature they call CPR. Basically, the
BIOS clears its settings and returns to safe settings, if the
BIOS thinks the computer crashed due to overclocking on the
last run. Go into the BIOS and make sure the BIOS settings
are the same as they were a couple days ago. It could be
something in the RAID settings area has changed. (This is an
annoying feature for users who are not, in fact, overclocking.)

While it might not have made a difference in this case, it
might also help to run a computer with RAID, off a UPS. Some
UPSes have a cable and software, to allow an orderly shutdown
in the event of a power failure. You don't really want the
power to the computer to go off in the middle of an I/O
operation to the RAID array.

If that isn't the problem, you might post more details about
your hardware configuration.

Do you hear the disk drives spin up ? Are you sure they
are getting power ?
